Team Info

The team is coached by Carl Smith & Nigel Parry.

Training is currently held on Tuesday evenings at 6.00pm at War Memorial Park.

Matches are played on Saturday and Sunday afternoons in the NEHYL and PHYL respectively.

A great team of friends who enjoy their football.

In 2016 we travelled to Euskirchen in Germany to play ETSC as part of the Basingstoke Festival of Sport. In 2017 we hosted the return match here in Basingstoke.

In 2015 we travelled to Spain to play a tournament at the world famous Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona. After winning all our group games we narrowly missed out in the Final losing on penalties.

Ground Directions

Sherborne St John FC home ground is called the Chute – Postcode is RG24 9HX in Sherborne village

The village of Sherborne St John is on the A340 between Basingstoke and Tadley.

From Basingstoke:

You should exit the A339 Ringway North, at the Aldermaston Road Roundabout (Apollo Hotel) and take the A340 in the direction of Aldermaston, past the North Hampshire Hospital on the left. At the bottom of the hill, you need to turn right into Elm Road. This narrow road leads into the village of Sherborne St John, drive through the village and follow the road round a sharp right-hand bend; at this point you're now in Vyne Road. The entrance to the Chute is on the right marked with security cones approximately four hundred metres further down the road.

From Tadley:

As you enter Sherborne St John from Tadley, southbound on the A340, you go round a sharp left-hand bend and then, just as the A340 takes a sharp right-hand bend to carry on up the hill, you need to take a left turn, off of the A340, into Cranes Road. Carry on along Cranes Road until you get to the T-junction at the very end. Turn left at the junction into Elm Road and follow the road round a sharp right-hand bend; at this point you're now in Vyne Road. The entrance to the Chute is on the right marked with security cones approximately four hundred metres further down the road.

Parking:

Please park responsibly at the Chute car park. Do NOT obstruct the Pavilion entrance reserved for emergency vehicles.
An additional overflow parking is available in Kestrel Court, three hundred metres down Vyne Road to Kestrel Court on your left.
Refrain from parking in Vyne road as this obstructs visibility for oncoming traffic.
